20 years as a professional cartographer - six years as a cartographic editor for Philip's, followed by senior editorial positions with De Agostini-Rand McNally in 1996 and AND Cartographic Publishers in 1998. I have been freelance since 2000.

As a freelance cartographer, I have edited atlases and produced maps for a wide variety of clients, including publishers, cartographic production studios, individuals and public bodies.

Clients include: AND, Lovell Johns, Philip's, Pindar Graphics, Quarto Children's Books, Reader's Digest, Usborne Publishing, Yorkshire Dales National Park, other individuals and organisations.

I use professional publishing software, including Freehand, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as specialist mapping and technical software, including AutoCad, SketchUp, ArcGIS and Manifold. I am also able to produce high quality graphics by hand, including hill shading.
